Charles Francis Xavier
Biography
Cain Marko is the reason Charles Xavier believes in second chances and the reason he keeps being wrong about them. Cain was the stepbrother who beat him, resented him and blamed him for a father's death, and their war predates the X-Men entirely. Buried in a collapsing Korean cave, Cain found a temple, a red gem and an inscription promising unstoppable power to whoever claimed it. He walked out as the avatar of Cyttorak — a mystic wrecking ball in body armour whose only real trick is that he does not stop.
The helmet matters more than the muscle. Cyttorak's power makes Cain's momentum irresistible, but his mind is ordinary, so Xavier can drop him with a thought the second the helmet comes off — which is why every Juggernaut fight becomes a heist to remove one piece of headgear. Cain has spent decades oscillating: Black Tom Cassidy's partner in crime, a genuine X-Man who lived at the mansion and meant it, a Thunderbolt, a man who lost the Cyttorak mantle and had to fight to reclaim it. He is a bully who keeps trying to be better.

Comics history
Lee and Kirby built Juggernaut as a one-note wrecking ball for the earliest X-Men, and the note was so good it never needed changing: he arrives, the team throws everything it has, nothing works. Chris Claremont paired him with Black Tom Cassidy and turned him into a working-class heavy with a code, and Marvel's early-2000s Uncanny X-Men ran the genuinely bold experiment of making him a team member with a bunk at the mansion. Formalising the Cyttorak avatar concept in the 2000s finally explained where the power comes from — and gave writers a way to take it off him.

How do you stop the Juggernaut?
You do not stop the momentum, you remove the man from it. Take off the psi-shielding helmet and a telepath can shut him down cold; otherwise phase him, teleport him or use magic, because Cyttorak's power answers to sorcery in a way it never answers to force.
Is Juggernaut stronger than the Hulk?
They have fought to a standstill more than once and neither has a clean claim. The Hulk's strength climbs with his rage while Juggernaut's is a fixed mystical grant, so a truly furious Hulk eventually out-scales him — but nothing about that fight is quick or one-sided.
