Biography
Victor Creed is what Wolverine's healing factor and animal senses look like on a man who enjoys them. The two share a history running through Team X, black-ops work and decades of mutual butchery, and Creed marks it with a ritual: every year on Logan's birthday he finds him and tries to take him apart. Where Wolverine fights the animal, Creed feeds it. He is not a berserker who loses control — he is a predator who decided long ago that hunting people is the most honest thing a person can do.
His worst work is the Mutant Massacre, where he led Mister Sinister's Marauders into the Morlock tunnels and slaughtered a community. Xavier later kept him chained in the X-Mansion basement in a genuine attempt at rehabilitation, which ended the way everyone but Xavier expected. Krakoa found him a new low: Creed became the first mutant the Quiet Council exiled to the Pit, buried alive beneath his own nation while the world was told mutants had moved past killing. He clawed his way out for Sabretooth War, and Logan stopped negotiating.

Comics history
Creed was not created as a Wolverine villain at all. Chris Claremont and John Byrne introduced him in Iron Fist, and the feral-mirror connection was welded on later, once Claremont's X-Men needed a Logan-shaped nemesis. He became the defining X-Men predator across the 1980s and 1990s through the Mutant Massacre and the Weapon X mythology, then received the full anti-hero treatment — black-ops team member, Krakoan asset — before Marvel wisely returned him to the monster column. Victor LaValle's Sabretooth is his best modern showcase, playing him as the Pit's revenge on Krakoa itself.

- Screen versions have made Sabretooth Wolverine's brother, and a 1990s comics arc dangled the idea that Creed was Logan's father. Both are dead ends — in the comics the two are not related.
- Tyler Mane played him in 2000's X-Men and returned to the role in 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine, a twenty-four-year gap between appearances.
- For a long stretch of the 1990s Creed carried an adamantium-laced skeleton of his own, briefly making him the more indestructible half of the rivalry.

Are Sabretooth and Wolverine brothers?
No. X-Men Origins: Wolverine made them half-brothers on screen, and a 1990s comic teased that Creed might be Logan's father, but the comics have never made them family. What binds them is Team X, shared conditioning and a hatred neither will let go of.
Who would win, Sabretooth or Wolverine?
On raw physicals Creed has the edge: he is bigger, stronger and heals just as fast. Wolverine still wins most of their fights, because he is the better-trained fighter and Creed cannot resist drawing it out instead of finishing it.
