Biography
Medusalith Amaquelin's Terrigen exposure gave her prehensile hair: roughly six feet of it, individually controllable, strong enough to lift a ton and fine enough to pick a lock. It sounds absurd until you watch a writer take it seriously — Medusa fights with dozens of independent limbs at once, and she has beaten the Fantastic Four with them more than once, including a spell as a member of the Frightful Four while amnesiac.
Her real role is political. As Black Bolt's wife and queen she is the voice of a king who cannot speak, translating his gestures into law and holding Attilan together during his exiles, wars and disappearances. Marvel has repeatedly put the crown on her directly — during Inhumanity, the NuHumans era and the Kree conflicts — and she is consistently the better ruler of the two: pragmatic, willing to negotiate, and prepared to defy her own husband when the throne requires it.

Comics history
Medusa debuted in Fantastic Four #36 (1965) as a member of the Frightful Four — an amnesiac villain before readers knew she was Inhuman royalty. Kirby and Lee revealed the truth across the Inhumans saga in Fantastic Four #44-48, and she has been the Royal Family's public face ever since.
She served with the Fantastic Four during Sue Richards' pregnancy, ruled Attilan through Black Bolt's absences, led the Inhumans during Infinity and Inhumans vs. X-Men, and had a genuine reign of her own in Charles Soule's run — including sanctioning decisions Black Bolt would never have made.
